figure 1. Here you can see the wide, flat outsole of the adidas ADAN II. One design detail I love is the bit of leather stitched to the medial side of the outsole, it's the piece with the adidas logo embossed into it.
figure 2a & b. In the image at top the magnetic closure on the medial side of the adidas ADAN II is visible. Though it makes it very easy to close the midfoot cover, the closure just as easily comes undone. In both of the shots above the bit of leather at the medial side of the outsole is visible again. Notice the way that it wraps up and around the arch of the shoe and the stitching that arcs along its upper edge -- just beautiful.
figure 3. In this shot of the rear of the adidas ADAN II the hemispheric theme that dominates the entire shoe's design is clearly apparent.
figure 4. In profile the Torsion structure dominates the design of the adidas ADAN II. It's the central hemisphere from which all of the other hemispheres that define the shoe's design radiate. But the Torsion structure is more that just a design element, it provides the ADAN II with a high degree of torsional stiffness and contributes to the shoe's overall stability.
